It was the last day in Phuket. And love this day the most! Patong Beach is so Lovely =D Had been 3 days in Phuket, and had no chance to go to the beach which was just opposite the place we stayed. It could be ridiculous if we did not spend some times there, so woke up early in the morning just to went there and played.
And it was really nice, take some pictures, and this was what we did, writing my name in the sand and documented it.
Mom is always the best in giving some last touches to everything I do =)
Unfortunately, we needed to rush back as we had not yet packed and eventually needed to check out at 12.00 P.M. Packed, checked out, headed to the bus terminal, and got a van back to Hat Yai.
Arrived in Hat Yai around 10.00 P.M. No Idea where to go, there was a ladies in the same van that could speak Chinese. Yippiii… Felt so luckly, as whenever we felt lost, there was always someone came into rescue. =D She became our translator for the van’s driver, and we ended up in a hotel that close to the walking street in Hat Yai. =)

The first thing to do is to decide what to do for the rest of the day. And we decided on taking a city tour. Never rush to decide, as there are lots of agents that offer the same kind of trip. Our choice falled to a travel agent that offered to visit 5 popular places in Hat Yai with only 1300 bath for 7 people. Compare with another agents that we asked, it’s very cheap! and the uncle was so kind.
Most of the places that we visited was temple, as 90% of the population in Thailand was Buddhist, it’s no wonder. The first temple was sleeping buddha temple. There is a huge sleeping buddha stupa there. Needed to recorded it down, as camera couldn’t help to capture it at once.
Then they took us to a Raynu store for shop, others shop quite lots of things. I just looked around. Regret I didn’t pick some, as I just remember I haven’t bought anything for my friends. Baka!
The next place was Songkhla, which famous for its longest bridge and beach. But don’t expect too much for the bridge, because I was so dissapointed. I thought it would be like San Fransisco bridge (Yuhuuu), in fact It is not. hehe… But the Shamila beach is really nice. There is golden mermaid sculpture there. There is a legend behind this whole mermaid thing, but the carving of the legend is so blur already. So very sorry can’t tell you. =P
Have our seafood lunch in one of the restaurant nearby. Slurp~~~ Again, Tom Yam. Haha
And here was where I learn few other Thai Language;
- Phik = Chili
- Sawadee ka (female ) Sawadee kap (male) = Hello
- Sawadee ton chiao = good morning
- Bye = La kon
- My name is Linda = Chan che Linda (chan is used by female, for male uses ‘phom’)
- What is your name? = Khun che a lai?
Ok… Move on… We are in Guan Yin temple now. Akh!!! Lots of big big stupas there. There is Sakyamuni buddha that is located on the very high place. Planned not to go up, as my leg was very tired already, so stayed with mom and dad down there. But… the tour guide asked to hurry as if it’s raining we could not make it to other temple, four faces buddha. So, I went up there, running, to asked others to rush. Ei… I reached the top. Byur!!! the rain started to pour. T.T
I was wet, My aunt was wet, my bro was wet, and we could not make it to the other temple, and my leg almost couldn’t move, TIRED. Instead of the four faces buddha temple, the uncle took us to shop in Nora Plaza, it is the place where you can shop for bag and other things that they claimed to be from genuine animal skin, sheep, crocodile, etc etc.
And our city tour ended there. Went back to hotel, put all stuff in the room, went out for some walked in the walking street nearby. It was how the rest of our day and the next half day in Hat Yai was.
For those who like branded stuff, Thailand is not the place. Even, I myself was not really interested in their products. I just bought one T-Shirt that got the Thai writing, Ms. Songkhla. It was very very cheap, pretty good material and looks nice, bought it for 75 bath (RM.7.5 or around Rp. 22,500) only. =P
And Thailand trip ended there. Actually a bit frustated in this trip as in Phuket most of people dunno how to speak english and speak only Thai. T.T But in Hat yai it’s easier, as most of people know hokkien. But grateful that mos of people there was really kind, exclude the people who do business. Totally rude. >.<
Oh yah, when in Hat Yai, we had our lunch and dinner in one small small restaurant. In that restaurant we can see, the lady boss sticks photos of some of her customers in one corner of the restaurant. If there is next time, then we might see our pictures there =D
